Understanding Traumatic and Non-Traumatic Brian Injuries and Treatment Considerations

This course includes an overview of types of brain injuries, detailed neuroanatomy review, review of consequences of injury, occupational implications of TBI in different ages, discussion of premorbid /post complications following a TBI, and treatment considerations.

Learning Objectives:

  1. Learners will be able to describe the difference between an Acquired Brain Injury and Traumatic Brain Injury
  2. Learners will be able to list types of premorbid and post morbid complications that affect the recovery following a TBI.
  3. Learners will be able to describe various treatment considerations for the recovery and treatment of a TBI patient.
