2. Recognize common communication barriers faced by patients with aphasia in occupational therapy settings.

3. Apply Supported Conversation for Adults with Aphasia (SCA™) techniques to enhance patient engagement and participation.

4. Create and adapt therapy materials to be aphasia-friendly using visual, written, and environmental supports.

5. Distinguish between various communication aids (e.g., communication boards, pictographs) and identify when each is most effective.
